Brief

Placemaking has helped a lot with the psychological feelings of people living in the city, and I agree with this statement. Placemaking capitalises on a local community’s assets to create memorable public spaces that promote health, happiness, and wellbeing.
URBANISATION-PLACEMAKING
Placemaking is increasingly recognised as a key driver of urban liveability, providing cultural and economic benefits for cities at lower cost and higher impact than megaprojects such as sports arenas.
New York High Line Park
HIGH LINE PARK is one of New York’s most prestigious landmarks, a narrow path that has been traversed countless times by countless New Yorkers and tourists, many of whom would love to come here after work to walk their dogs and stroll. In the late 1930s, it was a railway line dedicated to the transport of goods and has gone from decay and decay to being alive once again. In a hundred years New Yorkers have never stopped exploring space. I think one of the clever things about this place is that it takes up new space. Another thing is that it feels really good to walk above ground level.
Low Line Park
HIGH LINE PARK is above ground level, while the second placemaking is underground. Low Line Park has been transformed from a disused underground tram station. It is the world’s first underground park and they have used new technology to bring the sunlight underground.
They use solar irrigation technology (See the video above).
The first step is to collect the light, using large mirrors to receive it,
the second step is to transmit it underground through light tubes,
and finally to spread it where people need it to see it.

For highly urban places such as New York, London and Shanghai, it is difficult to find new spaces for design. The park is underground and the absence of sunlight can be cold and depressing, but Low Line Park adds sunlight and plants to the space, which is a good solution to the problem of depression.
+ pool

+pool is a floating poo built on the Hudson River in New York to filter water and is still two years away from completion. It was used hundreds of years ago not only as a place to spend time but also as a public bathhouse where people would bathe in the river. Today the water is very dirty and the river is no longer used by the public.
The +pool, which filters and purifies the water, combines four pools together. Anyone can play during the set hours. The reason for building it was not only to provide a place for people to go swimming but also to turn the perception of the Hudson River around.
